This is a great way to stream from an RTMP source while keeping Digital Samba features:
- Go to your Vimeo account.
- Click on Live Events on the left side menu.
- Click on Create Live Event.
- Give your Live Event a title and make sure to select "One time" and Public as your options, as Digital Samba doesn't support unlisted or event video URLs yet.
- Click on Next.
- Save the live stream Link that appears on the left side menu. This link will be the URL you'll use on the Digital Samba Platform.
- Fill up the rest of the information as you please. Remember to leave the Viewing Privacy option as Public.
- Click on Next.
- Now click on the Connect (RTMPS) option and configure the settings for your RTMP server on the left side menu.
Note: You can use some Vimeo video processing options in the menu mentioned in step #9, including adding lower third graphics or logo graphics.
10. Click on Go Live.
11. Go to your Digital Samba session.
12. Add the Vimeo URL/Link that you saved before through the Content Library, and you're good to go. If you don't know how to display a Vimeo video through the Content Library already, this article will help you.
Tip: If you don't own Encoding Software already, Vimeo Studio is a great option included with the membership.
