How to upload files and add other types of media to the content library

Once inside your meeting, you're able to load media into your content library to share with other speakers and participants. 

Upload a file

1. Click on the Content Library icon from your options toolbar on the left-hand side of your screen. 

2. Click Create New 

3. Click Upload File. 

4. Select the appropriate file from the browser dialog and hit the Open button.  

This will send the file to our converters to prepare them for rendering in the meeting. Wait for the conversion to complete, click the green Done button and you will see the file now available in your content library. 

Add a file from a URL

You can also share files directly from a web resource without having to upload them to Samba Live. Note: The web resource needs to be universally accessible (not blocked off with log-ins). The supported files are mp4, mp3, png, jpg, jpeg. To add a file from a URL in the content library follow these steps:

1. Click Create New

2. Click Add file from URL 

3. Paste the URL in the dialog box

Add a YouTube video

Once inside your meeting, to upload a YouTube video to your content library – follow these steps:

  1. Click on the content library button from your options toolbar on the left-hand side of your screen.
  2. Click the Create new button.
  3. Click the Add Youtube Video button.
  4. Paste the YouTube link in the dialog and click the green Add button.
  5. Playing the video in a meeting is as simple as double-clicking it and then pressing the red play button in the Content Viewer window.

    Add a Web App

    You can add google docs, sheets, etc., and collaborate directly in Samba Live sessions without sharing your screen. Once inside your meeting, to upload a file to your content library – follow these steps:

    1. Click on the content library button from your options toolbar on the left-hand side of your screen.
    2. Click the Create new button.
    3. Click the Add Web App button.
    4. A dialog box will pop up. Enter a name for your web app and paste the web app link. Click Add.
    5. Your web app will appear in the list of contents in the Content Library. To open the web app, simply double click the app name.
